Your patients may only have to pay $25 to get their Afinitor prescription. This card can be used by the patient once per month.

To help your patients save on their Afinitor (everolimus) tablets prescriptions, complete the following steps:

  2. Give that card to your patient and instruct them to present the card to their pharmacist when picking up their Afinitor prescription
 

How the Card Works

The Afinitor $25 Co-pay Card allows eligible patients to pay only $25 for their prescription costs. Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation will pay the balance of their out-of-pocket expenses, up to a maximum of $1,200 per prescription. Not valid for prescriptions for which payment may be made in whole or in part under federal or state healthcare programs, including, but not limited to, Medicare, Medicaid, or for residents in Massachusetts. This program will expire December 31, 2012.

Advanced Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumors

AFINITOR is indicated for the treatment of progressive neuroendocrine tumors of pancreatic origin (PNET) in patients with unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic disease. The safety and effectiveness of AFINITOR in the treatment of patients with carcinoid tumors have not been established.

Important Safety Information

There have been reports of non-infectious pneumonitis, infections and kidney failure (including acute renal failure) in patients taking AFINITOR, some with fatal outcomes. Oral ulceration is the most frequently occurring adverse event and occurs in approximately 70% of AFINITOR-treated patients, which were mostly Grade 1 or 2. Grade 3 or 4 stomatitis was reported in 6% of patients with neuroendocrine tumors. Elevations of serum creatinine, proteinuria, glucose, lipids, and triglycerides and reductions of hemoglobin, lymphocytes, neutrophils, and platelets have also been reported.
