When disease progresses after initial vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) -targeted therapy, it may be time for AFINITOR® (everolimus) tablets, an oral mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) inhibitor.

Once-daily, oral AFINITOR is the first and only therapy with Phase III evidence after a VEGF-targeted therapy.

AFINITOR received the highest Category recommendation from the NCCN, which endorses it as the only Category 1 treatment following a first-line VEGF tyrosine kinase inhibitor (e.g., sunitinib or sorafenib).
